Infrastructure director joins WYG

Steve Novis

Professional services firm WYG has named Steve Novis as Infrastructure and Built Environment Divisional Director of its Central and Eastern Europe team.

Steve joined the company at the start of February and brings extensive project management experience. Based predominantly in Poland, he will oversee WYG’s architectural, engineering and design teams across a variety of regeneration schemes in multiple sectors.

Steve has a distinguished career in international engineering, transport and project management, and joins WYG from Atkins, where, as a Director, he led a workforce of 1200 engineers covering all areas of infrastructure.

Steve began his career in transport, working on a number of sections of the M25 before moving to Kuwait where he was involved in the construction of two major expressway projects serving Kuwait City.

He later returned to the UK and moved into project management, leading projects in the aviation, education, laboratory, industrial and transportation areas before being appointed as Managing Director of Atkins’ Project and Programme Management business, where he worked with companies including Shell.

In 2009, Steve was named Managing Director of Atkins’ Polish business, spending five years based in Warsaw managing design and construction projects.

Steve Novis is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of the Association for Project Management.
