Senior Road Safety Engineer

Due to unprecedented demand for safety engineering our National team is growing to meet the demands. These include within our Safe Roads Alliance with the NZ Transport Agency and supporting many other projects. We are looking for a motivated senior (Associate level) Road Safety Engineers to join us to help us deliver this work.

Auckland “the city of sails” – Our largest city and head office location. New Zealand’s home of the Americas Cup, Sky Tower and proximity to some of the best beaches in the country.

Hamilton – a mild climate and moderate year round rainfall with a young population and home to a vibrant cultural, sporting and entertainment hub.

Wellington is our capital city well-known for its food, wine and craft beer scene, and our office is located in the vibrant city centre near to the natural and beautiful harbour.

Christchurch, affectionately termed “The Garden City” is renowned for its proximity to the great outdoors and the spectacular South Island Scenery. Based in a brand new state of the art city centre office.

We also have roles available in our regional offices including Tauranga.

We are looking for a motivated senior (Associate level) Road Safety Engineers to join us to help us deliver this work.

Ideally you would have around seven to ten years’ experience. Your responsibilities could include:

  • Leading and delivering traffic safety projects
  • Undertaking safety analysis and project optioneering
  • Management, resourcing and delivery of projects
  • Maintenance of existing and development of new key client relationships

The following describes the person we’re looking for:

  • You are an experienced traffic safety engineer with a genuine interest in safety projects
  • You are up to date with latest road safety research and understand safe system principles
  • You’re passionate about saving lives
  • You analytical and understand the risks and countermeasures on high speed roads
  • You can coach and develop junior engineers
  • You have an ability to build effective, collaborative working relationships with clients
